My name is Paula
and I am delighted that you are interested in getting to know me a little more.
The Pet Services project was born out of my own need for many years: not having enough time to take care of my pets as I think they deserve.
Sometimes, we are forced to delay our return home due to unavoidable situations or unforeseen events; we have to travel, our pets get sick and we have to go out to do other tasks or simply, you don't want them to spend the time you are not at home alone.
In my case, I have worked for many years in large companies developing positions of responsibility in different sectors such as technology, leisure or tourism. Sectors (like many others) with 24/7 and very demanding schedules (If you want to know more about my career click here).
At that time, I would have liked to have a reliable person, to whom I could turn to almost at the moment, to help me with my pets; someone recurrent, with whom my pet is calm and does not modify his routines.
My experience
To tell you something more personal about myself, I had two German Shepherds in my childhood at different times: Trencitas 1 and Trencitas 2 (my creativity was not great at that age...:) ); as well as cats, rabbits, hamsters, fishes and other pets.
Since then, we have used pet sitters on several occasions and have been hosts on many others. We have taken dogs into our home temporarily and, for several years, we shared our life with two boxers and a Persian cat, a full-fledged pack!
It was much later, when I decided to complicate my life in the most tender way possible, by adopting my dog Lúa. Today it has been 10 years since then.
In the last few years I have focused on training in this aspect, graduating in Pet First Aid, Dog Training and Canine Emotional Management.
Understanding animal care as a holistic care for me is basic, considering all its social, physical, mental and emotional dimensions equally.
Now, I want to take up again this passion for animals that fills me so much and see where it leads me. For the time being, to train in dog-assisted therapy for people and to be able to make both things compatible.
I could tell you that I am a serious and responsible person, with commitment and dedication... but those are just words. I prefer that we talk and get to know each other to see if any of my services can really help you and your pet to be as happy as possible at all times.
